Reading & Discussion Series: The Serious Side of Food
2nd Thursday of the month at 7 PM in the Village community room
The Potsdam Public Library and GardenShare host a Reading & Discussion series on The Serious Side of Food. This program is made possible by a Humanities NY grant and supported by the Potsdam Food Co-op. The librarywill be working with Maggie Smith, program coordinator (Americorps VISTA) at GardenShare, to read books about the current and past business of food and discuss our local food economy. We will be reading:
The Jungle by Upton Sinclair for March 8,
The Road to Wellville by TC Boyle for April 12,
The Third Plate by Dan Barber for May 10, and
In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan for June 14.
These books are available to be signed out at the circulation desk at the library. Discussions will be held in the Village community room, at 7PM on the 2nd Thursday of the month from March to June 2018. For more information, firstname.lastname@example.org.
