Annual Report 2016

The Potsdam Public Library is central to the intellectual life of our community. It provides the tools, resources, and techniques for literacy, lifelong learning, recreation, and research. Our library is a leveling influence on the digital divide, providing high-speed internet access, digital literacy and career training, and videoconferencing services to vulnerable and underserved patrons. We pledge to support intellectual freedom, to ensure equitable access to information, and to make the most efficient and effective use of funds to deliver outstanding library service to the Potsdam Public Library community.

Our Annual Report highlights Library activities in the past year, including the adoption of our adult literacy program (LIFE), continued success of the Fred W. Cleveland Computer Center’s training offerings, and expansion of access to digital media and databases. We are proud to have the second highest rate of circulation in the North Country, and the highest rate per capita.

Thank you very much for your support of the Potsdam Public Library. We look forward to continuing to provide you with outstanding library service.
